Background


Judson C Ball (Managing Partner)


For more than 30 years, Judson has been involved in the development of nearly $1 billion worth of office and industrial properties.  After graduating from Valparaiso University and receiving his J.D. from ITT-Chicago Kent College of Law, Judson began his career as an aide to U.S. Congressman Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL) from 1968 to 1971.  He also served as corporate general counsel to Chicago architecture firm Ralph Stoetzel, Inc.  Judson holds an OPM-16 degree from Harvard Business School and served on the Board of Directors at Harvard Business School from 1991 to 1994

In 1978 he founded the Plumwood Corporation which developed $750 million of industrial and/or suburban office real estate in Chicago, Atlanta, Tempe,
Dallas-Fort Worth, Phoenix, Sacramento, and San Francisco.  Judson was a member of the Urban Land Institute and was a member of the executive committee of the Real Estate Roundtable from 1995 to 2000.

Under Judson’s leadership, Luko LLC is a developer of high-quality, niche real estate that develops Class A commercial projects with a 100% equity structure.  A strong supporter of the arts, he served on the Board of Trustees of the Phoenix Art Museum from 1997 to 2000, and has been a member of the Wyoming Arts Council since 2000




Matthew D Goon (President)

           

Matthew graduated from Bucknell University and completed his MBA at the University of Minnesota. 
His past work experience has included working   for Fortune 500 companies including Texas Instruments, Pillsbury, and General Mills. 


As an entrepreneur, he opened up his own restaurant while working in Xi’an in the early 1990’s, and also launched Shangri-la Hotel Resort’s Hotel
Management Training Center in Beijing.  Matthew’s marketing and finance experience with large US and Chinese corporations brings Luko LLC a unique advantage to effectively communicate across cultures. 
He has also been involved with raising capital for a number of startup
companies in renewable energy and golf.


As a strong supporter of community development, he
founded Cord of Three, a 5013c non-profit serving the inner city, and has
worked with a number of other local non-profits to launch micro business
startups.
